What the extension stores

Unslop saves only your own settings and a local counter, using the browser's built-in chrome.storage API:

• Your toggles (enabled, per-site on/off, hide mode, "filter Shorts").
• Your custom keywords and allow-list.
• A count of how many items have been hidden (total / per-site / today).
• Your Pro license key, if you activate Pro — verified on your device, never sent anywhere.

This data is stored on your device (and synced across your own signed-in browser profile via chrome.storage.sync, if you use browser sync). It is never sent to us or any third party — Unslop has no servers and makes no network requests.

What the extension reads

To decide what to hide, the content script reads the visible text of video cards and posts on youtube.com and facebook.com while you browse. This happens entirely in your browser, in real time, and is never stored or transmitted. Unslop does not read your messages, account details, passwords, or any other page.

Permissions

• storage — to save the settings and counter described above.
• Host access to youtube.com and facebook.com — so the content script can run there.

Unslop requests no other permissions.

The website & support assistant

This website uses no cookies and no cross-site trackers. The support chat assistant runs entirely in your browser — your questions are matched against a local FAQ and are never sent to a server. If site analytics are used, they are a privacy-respecting, cookieless aggregate (no personal data).

Third parties

None. No analytics SDKs, no ad networks, no external scripts, no telemetry. If you purchase Pro, that checkout is handled by Gumroad under Gumroad's own privacy policy; we receive only what's needed to deliver your key.
